MADISON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Transcend Capital Advisors today announced a multi-year name, image and likeness (NIL) partnership with 19-year-old amateur golfer Benjamin James. James is currently the number one ranked boys junior golfer in the country according to the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) rankings as well as the Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings. James recently graduated from high school and will continue his golf career at the University of Virginia.
A resident of Milford, Connecticut, James has compiled numerous victories over the course of a distinguished career as a junior golfer. Most recently, he won four of his last six AJGA events including the Team TaylorMade Invitational, the Dustin Johnson World Junior, The PING Invitational, and The Junior PLAYERS Championship. James is a three-time ROLEX Junior All-American and qualified for the U.S. Junior Presidents Cup team in 2019 and the U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team in 2021.
Earlier this year, James was a recipient of the 2022 Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Award, a prestigious award given annually to four amateur golfers from around the world who, in addition to their achievements in golf, demonstrate exceptional character, academic excellence, and a commitment to community service.
James received a sponsor’s exemption to play in the 2022 Travelers Championship taking place this week. Hosted at TPC River Highlands in his home state, this will be his first PGA TOUR event. As part of the sponsorship, James will wear the Transcend logo in non-collegiate events, beginning with this week’s PGA TOUR event.
