LOS ANGELES--()--Sweetfin, the healthful, chef-driven, California inspired poke concept, renowned for its use of sustainable fish and innovative ingredients, announces the exciting opening of their thirteenth location, and first in Orange County. The fine-casual restaurant will serve up their Signature poke and plant based bowls along with their new “Sweetbox” beginning on September 10th at The 17th Street Promenade, Costa Mesa.

When Sweetfin debuted six years ago in Santa Monica, they made a commitment to creating a culinary experience that is fresh, accessible, and naturally craveable with their flavor forward and health conscious menu. Their chef-driven, culinary philosophy is centered in their “Pole to Bowl” ethos which means that in sourcing their fish, they aim to use the highest-quality and most sustainable raw fish they can find while still maintaining a reasonable price point. Their menu is 100% gluten free, made from scratch daily, and is vegan and vegetarian friendly. Since opening their first location in 2015, with its locally-sourced, fresh-produce mantra and creative and innovative culinary culture, Sweetfin has become renowned for exemplary standards when it comes to quality ingredients and fresh flavor.

Diners will be able to enjoy both Signature and fully customizable bowls with an array of fresh ingredients, like sustainable yellowfin tuna, salmon, albacore and shrimp. And with homemade sauces like creamy togarashi, sriracha ponzu and yuzu koshu, it is no surprise that Sweetfin has been called one of the best poke restaurants in the US.

The Costa Mesa location will feature Sweetfin’s “surf-chic” interiors. Contactless ordering options such as pick-up and delivery are available via the Sweetfin Mobile App, online at https://order.thanx.com/sweetfin and via Postmates/Uber..

“We are excited to open our first Sweetfin in Orange County and to continue our mission to fuel life through freshness,” said Managing Partner, Seth Cohen. “We look forward to introducing the Costa Mesa community to our unique, chef-driven take on the Hawaiiian poke bowl. We are proud to say that all of our menu items are made in-house, from scratch daily and that we source seafood as sustainably as possible.”

Also, for the first time, the new Sweetbox is now available at all Sweetfin locations in Southern California that includes:

  • Signature Yuzu Salmon poke over citrus kale salad
  • Signature Spicy Tuna poke over bamboo rice
  • Chile ginger forbidden rice noodle salad
  • Homemade taro chips dusted in wasabi furikake
  • Ramekins of gluten-free tamari, pickled ginger and sriracha

As with all other items on Sweetfin’s menu, the Sweetbox is 100% gluten free.
