NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HCA Healthcare (NYSE:HCA) announced today Jeff Cohen will assume the role of Senior Vice President, Government Relations effective October 1, 2019. He will be replacing Vic Campbell, who will retire February 29, 2020.

Cohen has spent the last 20 years with the Federation of American Hospitals, most recently as Executive Vice President of Public Affairs where he manages all advocacy, public affairs and communications for the association. In this role, he worked closely with Fortune 500 and privately-held member companies and acted as chief lobbyist for the association.
Campbell is retiring after a 47-year career with HCA Healthcare. He joined the company’s finance department in 1972 and established the company’s investor relations function in 1976 leading that area until October of 2018. Campbell was named Senior Vice President in 1994, just one year before being named one of the “Top 10 Investor Relations Officers” in the nation by Institutional Investor magazine.
In 1997, Campbell was tapped to lead HCA Healthcare’s Government Relations team. Over the years, he served three terms as chairman of the Federation of American Hospitals and served on the board of the American Hospital Association from 1995-2000. He is also a former member of the board of directors of the Nashville Health Care Council. A long-time resident of Nashville, Campbell is active in various community organizations including being a member of the Nashville Sports Council and Music City Bowl. He was also a founding member of PENCIL, a local organization that provides support to public education.
