LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The results from the Thomson Reuters Analyst Awards are in, and David Burks, a Senior Vice President and Research Analyst in Hilliard Lyons’ Research Department, has taken a top spot.
David Burks placed first nationally for his stock picks in Multi-Utilities.
This marks David’s second consecutive year with a first-place national finish. Last year, it was for his Electric Utility recommendations. 2017 marks the tenth time David has been nationally recognized for his stock recommendations – six times by Thomson Reuters/StarMine and four times by The Wall Street Journal, with its “All-Star”/“Best on the Street” award.
National recognition is not new to the analysts in Hilliard Lyons’ Research Department. More than 75% of current analyst team members have received multiple awards for their stock picks. Over the two-decade history of The Wall Street Journal’s annual “All-Star”/“Best on the Street” survey – which identified the top analysts in each industry based on stock-picking skill, and concluded in 2013 – five current analysts placed among the top analysts in their respective industry groups a total of 14 times.
