Preston Hollow Capital Expands Municipal Trading, Structuring and Analytics Capabilities

DALLAS--()--Preston Hollow Capital announced today the addition of Kevin Jackson, Head of Municipal Trading; Marc Armentrout, Director; Chad Ohlendorf, Associate; and Jimmy Taylor, Analyst.

As Head of Municipal Trading, Kevin Jackson’s responsibilities include the evaluation, pricing, purchase and sale of municipal securities in both the primary and secondary markets.

Before joining PHC, Kevin spent seventeen years as Senior Vice President at Southwest Securities, a Dallas-based investment bank, where he served in various capacities in municipal capital markets. From 2013-15 he was the Municipal Sales Manager where he was responsible for a 23-person team of sales professionals serving institutional and middle market clients. As a municipal trader, he was responsible for capital commitment and risk management decisions. Additionally, he worked in municipal syndicate where he was involved in the pricing and distribution of new issue municipal securities.

Mr. Jackson has FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 63 and 65 licenses. He holds a BBA from Northwood University

Marc Armentrout’s responsibilities are focused on PHC’s direct lending and investment structuring efforts. He comes to PHC following a 22-year career with ORIX USA, where he was most recently a Director in the municipal finance group. His role involved the coordination of commercial real estate debt and securities investment activities, including CMBS, bridge loans, custom financings and mezzanine debt. Prior to joining ORIX, Mr. Armentrout held management positions with various real estate companies and financial institutions, including Advanta Mortgage, Hotel Group of America, Continental Savings and Santa Barbara Savings.

Mr. Armentrout holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Chad Ohlendorf focuses on PHC’s asset origination activities, with primary responsibilities including the evaluation and structuring of the firm’s investments. Prior to joining Preston Hollow Capital, Chad most recently spent two years in the Oil & Gas Investment Banking Group at J.P. Morgan, where he advised upstream and midstream clients on mergers & acquisitions and capital raising transactions. Before oil & gas investment banking, Chad served in J.P. Morgan’s Public Finance Energy Group, where he focused on the origination and structuring of debt financings for municipal utility and project finance sponsors.

Mr. Ohlendorf received his Bachelor of Science in Operations Research & Financial Engineering from Princeton University.

Jimmy Taylor joins Preston Hollow Capital as an Analyst, also focusing on the firm’s asset origination activities, including evaluation and structuring of the firm’s investments.

Prior to joining Preston Hollow Capital, Mr. Taylor spent two years in the Public Finance Investment Banking Groups at RBC Capital Markets and R.W. Baird. Serving in an advisory role to special district clients, he worked on the structuring and execution of debt financing transactions, including tax increment, special assessment and general obligation transactions.

Mr. Taylor concurrently received his Bachelor of Science in Finance & Master of Science in Finance from The University of Alabama.
