TAIPEI, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The “2015 Agile Awards”, regarded as the ‘Oscars of Agile practitioners’, has announced amongst this year’s winners is Roger Chou, the General Manager of PM-ABC Inc., known as the ‘father’ of Taiwanese project management for training over 10,000 project management professionals. He was given the Award for “The Person Who Has Done the Most to Promote Agile 2015”, overtaking strong competition, including Facebook.
Roger feels this Award is as much recognition of Taiwanese and Chinese business people around the world, as it is of his own work.
The Agile Awards 2015, currently in its sixth year, organized by Yoh, exists principally to recognize businesses, organizations and individuals which actively promote knowledge of Agile project management, as well as its proper application and development. Past recipients of the Award have mainly come from European and American public institutions, private institutions, business consulting companies, as well as IT and software development companies.
The Award categories this year were expanded to sixteen, eight of which are awarded by a jury and eight awarded by popular vote. The Award for “Person Who Has Done the Most to Promote Agile 2015” was awarded through popular vote, with companies around the world only allowed one vote each. 3000 votes were cast for this Award - with Roger Chou gaining the most votes cast to make him the popular choice.
Since its inception, the Agile Awards have not been graced by business professionals from Asia or China. The attention which Roger Chou has received has been an honor and a privilege.
Chou hopes that this recognition will encourage more international recognition of Agile project management, encouraging the further development of Agile in Taiwan and allowing American and European professionals to understand agile application and development throughout Asia.

What's next after this recognition from the 2015 Agile Awards? Chou has said he is grateful to those who voted for him. He feels this award represents a new milestone for his Agile career: winning the Award brings with it a great responsibility. He will continue to do his best to promote Agile, as he has done with PMP training, to keep improving Taiwan’s use of project management. He hopes the two practices can be deeply embedded in every sector, and underpin every great project’s success.
