ARDEN HILLS, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kozy Shack is proud to name its first Official Grandma — a one-of-a-kind representative who knows the simple goodness of pudding made right.
Marilyn Cisek will represent the 50-year-old company in a national online, broadcast and print media campaign launching this spring. Cisek, a St. Paul, Minn. native now living in St. Petersburg, Fla., was chosen from a nationwide pool of candidates after an extensive search. She will appear in online and print advertising, online videos and the brand’s social media channels.
Andy Braunshausen, marketing director for Kozy Shack, said he couldn’t be more pleased with the results of the search. “Marilyn is smart, witty and passionate about doing things right — just like we are passionate about pudding made right,” he said. “Remember when Grandma would tell you how important it is to do things the right way? Well, that’s Marilyn through and through.”
Kozy Shack® Pudding is still made the right way, slow-simmered in small-kettle batches using simple ingredients like rice, milk, sugar and eggs.
Cisek is an avid home cook who has watched food trends come “full circle,” as she says, back to the real ingredients she remembers. “So, we’re all going back to wholesome foods now, but Kozy Shack never stopped using them,” she said.
Her favorite variety is rice pudding. “I made some from my old family recipe and put it side-by-side with Kozy Shack® Rice Pudding,” Cisek said. “My daughter said, ‘I don’t know how they did it, but Kozy Shack® Pudding is so much creamier than yours, Mom!’”
Cisek is a mother of four and has one grandson. She had a career as an elementary school teacher before retiring to Florida. She’s active in her community and enjoys cooking and tai chi. She says she stays healthy by following the motto “everything in moderation” and focusing on wholesome foods.
