COSTA MESA, Calif. & SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--E-Seek, Inc has announced the release of its Model M-280 ID card and driver's license reader that allows for the capture of electronic data while simultaneously providing the ability to scan and capture a complete image of both sides of an ID card or driver’s license. The Model M-280 reads all data from both the 2 Dimensional Barcode (PDF 417) and the Magnetic Stripe utilized on ID cards and licenses.
According to E-Seek, when an ID card or driver's license is positioned on the scratch proof glass lens of the Model M-280, and with the simple press of a button, a full high resolution image (JPEG) of the ID is captured and attached to the data stream. Because of its ability to quickly and easily marry the electronic data to the image, the Model M-280 provides a capability that is being required by an increasing number of applications.
Standard product features of the Model M-280 include color image capture, compatibility with E-Seek M260 and M250 readers, high performance 2D (PDF417) bar code reading, 3 tracks magnetic stripe reading, easy operation, simple USB output and no external power.
The versatile and very affordable M-280 reader can be used for age verification, ID authentication, access control and many more applications.
