JERICHO, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Beechwood Organization – one of the largest privately-owned developers of single-family homes, multi-family homes and luxury lifestyle communities on the East Coast and the leader on Long Island – announces all 660 market rate condominium homes at its premier mixed-used development, Country Pointe in Plainview, located in Nassau County’s Town of Oyster Bay, are sold as of January.
The milestone reflects demand by Long Islanders of all ages, and primarily empty nesters aged 55-plus, for better quality of life where and how they want to live today. They want to transition away from traditional family home ownership in aging dwellings to more carefree and maintenance-free condominium living in newly constructed homes. They also want to be in or near the hometown neighborhoods they have lived in for years, close to family and friends, with the opportunity to make new friends and stay active.
“It is gratifying to see how Country Pointe in Plainview has enhanced the quality of life for those who now live, visit, shop, dine, work, walk the trails and play in the open sports fields. We listened to the hopes and wishes of thousands of local stakeholders who helped shape our vision for what you see here today. It is our hope that all generations will enjoy this special property for many years to come,” said Michael Dubb, founder and CEO, The Beechwood Organization.
The development, on 143-acres straddling the hamlets of Plainview and Old Bethpage, features 660 market rate condominium homes primarily for adults aged 55-plus; a 24/7 fully attended gatehouse and 29,000-square-foot clubhouse with two outdoor swimming pools; a pledge to recreational open space with 57-acres of contiguous land dedicated to the Town of Oyster Bay for public recreation including a two-mile walking trail connecting to Trail View State Park; and a convenient 118,450-square-foot retail plaza featuring a ShopRite Supermarket and other national and Long Island retail brands.
ARCHITECTURALLY PLEASING HOMES STYLES WITH LUXE AMENITIES
The architecturally pleasing homes are accessed by winding streets, landscaping and ponds that create peaceful vistas in this private gated community.
Three home styles – condominium suites, villas and townhomes – ranged in price from $650,000 to $1.9 million.
Five models of condominium suites feature single-level living with 2-bedrooms and 2-baths across 1,474 – 2,056 square feet of living space, plus an indoor parking space, private balcony and full elevator access.
Five models of villas feature single-level living with 2-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms plus den and 2 or 2.5 baths across 1,656 – 2,148 square feet of living space plus a private one-car garage and full basement. Upper villas include attic storage and a private elevator option.
Four models of townhomes feature a master bedroom suite on the main floor plus two additional rooms and a loft on the upper level across 2,499 – 2,878 square feet of living space plus full basement and two-car garage.
Each buyer was also given the opportunity to select personalized finishing touches in their new kitchens and bathrooms working with in-house designers at the Beechwood Design Studio.
RESORT-STYLE CLUBHOUSE
At the heart of the community is a luxurious 29,000-square-foot clubhouse with amenities similar to those of a private country club. Here residents can socialize in a café, work out in a state-of-the-art fitness center, play cards, and take part in events organized by a full-time concierge and activities director. Outdoor amenities include two seasonal and heated pools, tennis and bocce ball courts, and access to a walking trail and sports fields.
PLEDGE TO RECREATIONAL OPEN SPACE
The 143-acre Country Pointe in Plainview site features 57-acres of contiguous land dedicated to the Town of Oyster Bay for public recreation plus a two-mile walking trail connecting to Trail View State Park.
CONVENIENT & FULLY-LEASED RETAIL PLAZA
The Shops at Country Pointe in Plainview is a $45 million 118,450-square-foot retail plaza at 1427 Old Country Road.
Patrons include homeowners in walking distance to the plaza along with those who live and work nearby who want an upscale shopping experience in a convenient location.
Complete with Tesla charging stations, the plaza is designed with a village feel echoing the architecture of nearby residences in stand-alone and attached homes.

By end-2019, the plaza was 100 percent leased to 17 best-in-class shops, restaurants and services.
“Our retail plaza has been humming with an excellent mix of Long Island and national brands. The Country Pointe Shops in Plainview have become a retail destination. We offer an elevated experience that offers something for everyone. TWO DECADES IN THE MAKING
Country Pointe in Plainview represents the culmination of some 20 years of community outreach, extensive meetings, research and discussion between the Town of Oyster Bay, Beechwood, its consultants, community residents and civic leaders.
The development began with an aggressive plan by Michael Dubb’s friend and businessman Charles B. Wang. Mr. Wang’s vision laid the groundwork for Beechwood to develop Country Pointe in Plainview. In his honor, the main entrance of the community is named Charles B. Wang Boulevard.
In 1999, Mr. Wang bought the 143-acre parcel from Nassau County which became a home to soccer fields, red-brick county buildings, the offices of the New York Islanders hockey team but also an array of disused buildings.
In 2007, due to local opposition for what then was considered a controversial mixed-used community, Mr. Wang withdrew an application to rezone and in 2010 went into contract with Beechwood to purchase the property.
In 2016, after adaptation of its original proposal and wide-spread support for much of what is seen today, Beechwood received final approvals from the Town of Oyster Bay, broke ground on the Country Pointe development and began sales for the market rate homes.
In January 2024, all 660 market rate homes were sold, the retail plaza continues to be fully leased, and the 57-acres of open recreational space accessible for the enjoyment of all in the Town of Oyster Bay.
“Our vision for Country Pointe in Plainview was to enhance quality of life for residents of all ages and the community at large. We gave new life to what was an underused 143-acre site, building in harmony with the surrounding community. We’ve created new homes, new retail facilities and a new commitment to public open space in a way all generations can enjoy for years to come. In the process, we also created new jobs, commerce and tax revenue for benefit of many,” says Michael Dubb.
With more Beechwood developments on the horizon across Long Island, New York State and the Carolinas, each one, like Country Pointe in Plainview, will be designed specifically for its location and be reflective of the company’s commitment to the needs of its buyers and residents as well as the villages and towns it becomes a part.
