2022 was a year of key milestones for CyrusOne’s sustainability programs with important achievements in each of its “Big Four” environmental categories: climate, water, biodiversity, and circularity.
Highlights of the CyrusOne 2023 Sustainability Report include:
- Climate: In 2022, CyrusOne accelerated its climate neutral by 2030 target and received validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its near-term target.
- Water: CyrusOne achieved net positive water status for all data centers in regions with extremely high water stress. CyrusOne’s net positive water colocation services in Dallas were also recognized by the Business Intelligence Group as a “Sustainability Service of the Year.”
- Biodiversity: In 2022, CyrusOne’s data center in Allen, Texas received the company’s first National Wildlife Federation habitat certification.
- Circularity: Throughout the year, CyrusOne implemented on-site, customer E-waste recycling services at all the U.S. facilities that they operate.
