CUPE 1750-OCEU to Hold Press Conference on State of WSIB Negotiations

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With less than four days before a strike deadline, the president of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario, the president of the Ontario Compensation Employees Union (CUPE 1750), and the executive vice president of the Ontario Federation of Labour will hold a press conference about negotiations for 3,750 critical Workplace Safety Insurance Board workers (WSIB). They will be joined by member of Provincial Parliament for the Ontario New Democratic Party, Bhutila Karpoche.

Members of OCEU serve workers, their families and employers in the Province of Ontario, providing compensation for loss of earning benefits or health care coverage to eligible employees who have obtained an injury or illness as a result of their job.
