Mercer Advisors Brings Foundations & Endowments Conference to San Francisco

Headlined by Jim Bildner and Marla Blow, panelists for last year’s Clinton Global Initiative, the half-day event invites nonprofit leaders for a discussion of timely trends in the evolving philanthropic landscape

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Mercer Advisors’ Foundation and Endowment Services group will host its 2023 conference series in San Francisco on Thursday, May 11. Leaders from Bay Area nonprofits and foundations are invited to participate in the half-day event, “Delivering on Your Promise, Accelerating Your Impact” — which will feature discussion on how nonprofits can accelerate their mission, advance fundraising efforts and elevate donor awareness in an increasingly complex landscape.

The headline speaker is Jim Bildner, CEO of the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation. Bildner also serves as a Trustee for the Kresge Foundation, as well as an Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He will be joined by Marla Blow, President and COO of the Skoll Foundation; Jeremiah Barlow, Head of Family Wealth Services at Mercer Advisors; and Jenny Xia Spradling, co-Founder and co-CEO of FreeWill. The event will cover best practices on board governance, fundraising and supporting donors in including the mission in estate and end-of-life planning, as well as how nonprofits can better position themselves for long-term impact and success.

“Foundation and nonprofit leaders are united by a shared mission of making the greatest impact possible on the organizations they care about,” said Mark Eshman, Director of the Foundation and Endowment Services group, Senior Wealth Advisor at Mercer Advisors. “These leaders face a complex environment, with various global market headwinds and an increasing number of opportunities for donors to direct their philanthropic efforts. Our goal is to bring like-minded leaders together to discuss forward-looking strategies and innovative ideas, in order to meet these challenges together and better position everyone to make the impact they seek.”
