Arajet Announces Tickets Now Available from US$55 to North, Central and South America and the Caribbean

• Arajet, the Caribbean's new Low Fare Carrier, will begin operations on September 15th, flying to Mexico City, and will add a total of 20 destinations in 12 countries in the Americas, such as Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica and several Caribbean islands in the following days.

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arajet, the new low-fare Dominican national carrier, today announced its entry into the market through its website arajet.com with amazing fares starting from $55 one way and $149 round trip, taxes included, to wonderful destinations in North, Central, South America and the Caribbean. Arajet’s first flight will take place on September 15 to Mexico City.

Arajet’s CEO Victor Pacheco, in the presence of his excellency the Dominican Republican’s Minister of Tourism, David Collado, stated the airline’s launch marks the rebirth of Dominican aviation, projecting to transporting over 7 million guests per year in approximately 5 years.

“We promised low fares and we are announcing our trade mark low fares never seen before in our country,” said Mr. Pacheco. “This is the first step in the process to build the first strategic connecting hub in the Caribbean that will foster the Americas connectivity at the lowest fares. Following the first flight, Arajet will be adding additional routes including Monterrey in Mexico; Barranquilla, Cali and Cartagena in Colombia; Quito and Guayaquil, in Ecuador; Lima, in Peru; Guatemala City in Guatemala; San Salvador, in El Salvador and St. Martin, Aruba and Curaçao in the Caribbean. In October, Arajet will add flights to Toronto and Montreal in Canada; Medellin and Bogota in Colombia; San Jose in Costa Rica; and Kingston in Jamaica; with which it will establish a robust route network of 20 destinations in 12 countries in its first 3 months of operations. The airline also expects to add additional flights to the United States in the near future.

Arajet will start operations with five brand new state-of-the-art Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft, which are designed to be environmentally friendly with 14% less fuel consumption, which will allow the airline to save on fuel costs, maintenance and operations and pass those savings on to our guests.
