Nomi Health Hosts Second Community Health Fair with Free Health Screenings at Windward Mall

HONOLULU--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Direct healthcare company Nomi Health hosted its second Community Health Fair for free health screenings at Windward Mall in Hawaii this weekend. More than 400 people attended the fair, which provided no-cost blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol tests, including consultations with local physicians, Drs. Royden and Ember Christensen. Community partners from Girl Scouts of Hawaii, Hawaii Public Health Institute, Lloyd Paredes, Doctor of Chiropractic, Partners in Development, Parents and Children Together and Po’ailani also participated to offer healthcare and educational resources, and family-friendly games and activities to Windward Oahu guests. Project Vision also offered free vision screenings.

Nomi Health co-founder and CEO Mark Newman said, “Nomi Health is committed to delivering easy access to low-cost health care. As care costs continue to rise and access to traditional healthcare declines, bringing every day care services into the community is critical -- whether in the major metropolitan markets or in the rural, difficult-to-reach communities we have served in Hawaii and beyond. We are honored to deliver every day care to those who need it in Hawaii. If we can keep people healthy, we can keep communities healthy, too.”

Over the past year, Nomi Health has provided Americans across the country with everyday healthcare services such as glucose screenings, blood pressure checks, influenza testing and more. In Hawaii, as community positivity rates continue to rise and Dept. of Health testing sites close, Nomi Health also continues to offer convenient COVID testing at Ala Moana Center, Waikele Premium Outlets, Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center, Ko Olina and BYU-Hawaii.
