Exo Therapeutics Appoints Antonio Gualberto as President of Research & Development and Chief Medical Officer

WATERTOWN, Mass.--()--Exo Therapeutics, Inc., a company pioneering the discovery and development of small molecules that can reprogram protein targets through binding to exosites, today announced the appointment of Antonio Gualberto, MD, PhD, as President of Research & Development and Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Gualberto brings over 20 years of drug development experience, spanning candidate selection to registration and market access. Before joining Exo, Dr. Gualberto served as CMO at H3 Biomedicine, a subsidiary of Eisai Ltd., where he led the development of the ERα inhibitor H3B-6545 and the SF3B1 modulator H3B-8800, among others. Prior to H3B, he was CMO and co-founder at Kura Oncology where he led the clinical proof-of-concept of farnesyl transferase inhibitors. Prior to Kura, he held positions of increasing responsibility at EMD Serono, Takeda and Pfizer where he contributed to the development of erlotinib, tremelimumab, neratinib and brentuximab vedotin. Dr. Gualberto received his MD and PhD degrees from the University of Seville in Spain, trained at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Berkeley National Laboratory, and held academic faculty positions at Case Western Reserve University and Brown University.
