Exile Content Studio Forms New Division, Exile Kids, With Stephen Davis as Chairman

LOS ANGELES--()--Exile Content Studio, one of Hollywood’s leading content providers for English and Spanish speaking audiences worldwide, announced today that it has formed a new division, Exile Kids, with veteran entertainment executive Stephen Davis as its Chairman.

Davis, who has been consulting for Exile for the past year after retiring from his position as Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer of Hasbro, will work with the Exile Team to identify and scale global franchises for the studio across original IP, acquisitions, licensing and merchandising.

EXILE QUOTE: “There is a tremendous demand among Latinos for content aimed at children, a demand which will only increase in years to come as the proportion of Latino children both in the U.S. and worldwide is expected to grow. Therefore, we have formed Exile Kids, a new division to focus exclusively on this important demographic, and to lead this new venture, we are fortunate to have landed Steve Davis. One of the most experienced and respected executives in the industry, Steve has been responsible for some of the most successful children’s television, film and consumer products-driven franchises, globally.”

Today, nearly one third of the world’s Latino population and almost half of those in the U.S. are under 18 years of age, with Hispanics comprising one quarter of the nation’s children, and their numbers are expected to increase to one third by 2050. Recognizing this opportunity, Exile, since its inception, has made kids content a priority for the company, beginning with its successful “Club Mundo Kids” educational series, which launched in April, and it currently has eight live action and animated children’s series in development. Exile Kids is the next logical, organic step for the company.

From 2009 to 2020, Davis led the transformation of Hasbro from a traditional toy and game company to a global play and entertainment leader and was responsible for such notable successes as the multi-billion dollar Transformers franchise; GI Joe; My Little Pony; Micronauts; Dungeons and Dragons; Magic the Gathering; Ouija; Jem and the Holograms; Power Rangers; Monopoly; Taylor Swift: Journey to Fearless; Clue, among others. Davis also led Hasbro’s Global Consumer Products Licensing and Publishing division, and managed Hasbro’s ongoing interest in the Discovery Family Channel.

Prior to joining Hasbro, Davis headed a number of entertainment companies, among them Family Entertainment Group LLC, Granada America and Carlton America, following a stint at the Griffin Group, where he was responsible for the Company’s entertainment and digital gaming businesses.
