Edifecs Announces Flexible Work Model for Global Team

HPE Initiative Allows Associates to Determine Where they are Most Productive

BELLEVUE, Wash.--()--Edifecs, Inc., a global health information technology solutions company, announced today its new Highly Productive Edifecs (HPE) work model. The philosophy of HPE is simple: Edifecs associates can work from wherever they think they are the most productive. Except for a small segment of the Edifecs team whose role requires them to be onsite daily, associates are empowered to choose where they work (home, office, or a combination).

“Our associates demonstrated pure grit during the pandemic, handling the uncertainty and shifting norms without missing a beat in their productivity or ability to support our customers,” said Venkat Kavarthapu, CEO of Edifecs. “It became evident to all our leaders that our associates could be productive from anywhere.”

Over 90 percent of Edifecs associates feel “great” about this change. As we made these plans, and COVID-19 rules start to loosen, we listened to the voice of our associates. HPE is designed to eliminate the stress of commuting, enable associates to take time off during the day to pick up their kids from school or visit their physician, and to choose when working from the office makes the most sense for productivity and collaboration.

“The COVID-19 pandemic catalyzed drastic changes in the way we work. This was a shift we saw coming before the COVID-19 pandemic with a third of our workforce already working virtually,” said Ravi Soin, vice president, IT, SaaS cloud, operations and facilities, Edifecs. “After many conversations, we determined there is no one-size-fits-all approach for how every team works best within Edifecs. The pandemic has taught us that our associates continue to be productive whether they are in the office or working from home.”

The key tenants of HPE are to ensure Edifecs associates feel safe, supported, and productive. Edifecs provides world-class facilities outfitted with PPE, safety protocol, and signage to ensure that onsite associates are safe. To support its associates, the Edifecs operations team has implemented best practices for working from home including: collaboration tools, a microsite offering resources and advice for working remotely successfully. The team continues to evaluate and implement solutions that make working from each associate’s desired location seamless. To facilitate productivity, Edifecs offers both onsite and virtual training and continues to assess and update its infrastructure to ensure teams are using the latest tools and technology at the core of HPE.

“At Edifecs, we prioritize the health and safety of our associates, their families, and our communities,” said Ritesh Daryani, vice president, people and culture, Edifecs. “We are incredibly impressed with the commitment our associates demonstrated in living by our values and supporting one another. They are consistently there for each other and have stayed focused on the success of both our external and internal customers even through all the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic presented.”

The HPE model does not mean Edifecs is abandoning its commitment to its global offices and onsite Wellbeing Centers. Unlike other similar sized companies, Edifecs signed leases for new office spaces in Atlanta and San Francisco that will enable the organization to offer its associates a similar collaborative work experience that parallels its Bellevue, Mohali, and Chisinau offices. As a strategic part of HPE, Edifecs will continue to offer world-class facilities globally and Wellbeing Centers at Bellevue and Mohali for those that opt to work onsite. Edifecs will also continue to offer virtual wellbeing and training sessions for remote associates.
