PITTSBURGH--()--Sullivan’s Steakhouse, the classic American steakhouse brand rooted in rich tradition, has opened the doors of its newest restaurant in the beautiful city of Pittsburgh. Located at 600 Grant Street on the first floor of the U.S. Steel Tower, the 7,600 square-foot restaurant space is the brand’s second location in Pennsylvania and 13th in the United States. The one-of-a-kind steakhouse offers guests bone-in and hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood and signature cocktails with the sounds of live, local jazz music in a friendly, familiar atmosphere.

“We’ve long had our sights set on opening a restaurant in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, and when the chance to bring our classic American cuisine to Steel City presented itself, we knew we needed to jump on it,” said Nishant Machado, President and CEO of Dividend Restaurant Group. “We’re excited to be part of Pittsburgh’s vibrant culinary scene and excited to introduce guests to our take on traditional steakhouse fare.”

Notable design highlights and features of the new location include:

  • A sculptural entry wall featuring a woven steel design inspired by the Steel Tower
  • An expansive outdoor patio perfect for dining al fresco during warmer months of the year
  • Three beautifully appointed private dining rooms – The Champion Room, The Victor Room and The Steel Gallery – inspired by the professional sports teams that call the city home
  • Private wine lockers for those guests who wish to have their personal favorite bottles of wine available when dining in

The new restaurant is overseen by General Manager Michael Rudman, a qualified corporate chef with 28 years of experience working in restaurants – including Morton’s of Chicago, Monterey Bay, Eddie Merlot’s and other local favorites from across the city. In addition, as an accomplished restauranteur himself, Rudman brings a wealth of knowledge across all areas of restaurant management and the customer experience, particularly in the front of house.

On the culinary side, Executive Chef and Pittsburgh native Paul J Morrison III, who has been involved with the Chicago restaurant scene for the last 20 years, brings his talents back home to the kitchen. Chef Morrison previously had the unique opportunity to work for his childhood hero Michael Jordan at Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse in both Chicago and Connecticut, as well as the MJ23 Sports Bar and Grill at the Mohegan Sun Casino.

Chef Morrison and his team will serve up Sullivan’s menu of classic American cuisine, including mouthwatering appetizers such as the steakhouse’s iconic Cheesesteak Eggrolls made with tender filet mignon and an array of decadent bone-in cuts of steak cooked to order – all of which pair perfectly with any of Sullivan’s signature cocktails such as the Knock Out Martini, inspired by the steakhouse’s namesake, boxer John Sullivan.

In addition, Sullivan’s offers lunch daily beginning at 11:00am, a daily happy hour stating at 3:00pm featuring a menu of $7 bar bites, and monthly specialty dinners that allow guests the chance to sample different premium wines and spirits paired with a specially curated chef’s tasting menu.
