WHAT:

 

The African American Educational and Cultural Festival will Honor “Juneteenth” in a Virtual Festival. June 19th has been marked as a Day of celebration, and we will be celebrating ALL WEEKEND LONG!

WHO:

 

Juneteenth is a Historical event in honor of one of the final acts of emancipation of U.S. Slaves on June 19, 1865. This marks the day the abolition of slavery was announced in Texas, the last place to free its slaves.

 

 

We will celebrate this time of remembrance in one of the Largest Fun-Filled Virtual type Festival that will include, Music, Art, Educational skits, Black films, Comedy, Dance, Panel Discussions & Workshops Zumba Exercise and more. Lead Sponsors include Peoples United Bank, Montauk Daisy, Scrambul, Inc, and A&M Electrical Contractor, ltd. Performances by Recording Artists and Bands such as ‘Earth Wind and Fire Tribute Band’, Legendary Celebrity Actor & Recording Artist 'Leon (Robinson) & the Peoples’ Reggae Band (Spectra Music Group), Reggae Artist ‘Winston Ire’, Gospel Recording Artist & Pastor Bettina Pennon will host a ‘Gospel Experience’ to include various Gospel Recording Artists and Introducing Up-and-coming Gospel Singers & Musicians. An Art Exhibit will be shown provided by the Long Island Black Artist Association. 20% of the Art purchase price will go to the charity. Children of all ages will express what Juneteenth means to them, and much, much more exciting viewing!

 

 

There are  opportunities to be a sponsor or donor of this Event or for the many Programs offered to the communities. Proceeds from this Event to help support our Health & Wellness Initiatives, Young Men & Women Rites of PassageTransitional & Mentoring Programs, Youth & Adult Leadership Training, Black History Exhibits, Apprentice Programs, and many Multicultural Activities, Workshops and Training Programs.
