SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Carta Healthcare, a provider of AI-powered clinical data abstraction technology and services, today announced the addition of Jim Whelan as Chief Revenue Officer. This announcement follows the company’s recent Series A Funding of $17.3M, led by Storm Ventures.
“The impact Jim has made with other mission-driven healthcare IT companies makes him an ideal fit to further strengthen Carta’s position for significant growth,” said Matt Hollingsworth, CEO and co-founder of Carta Healthcare. “His experience in leading and motivating high-performing sales teams will play a key role in continuing to deliver on our mission, build on our momentum, and support our customers.”
Jim brings over 20 years of executive leadership in early-stage healthcare organizations, building, strengthening, and leading high-performance sales and marketing teams. As Chief Revenue Officer, Jim will be responsible for putting people, process, and technology to work for the growth of the organization. Jim previously served as Sr. Vice President of Global Sales at other high-growth healthcare IT companies such as TriNetX Inc., Imprivata, Diameter Health, and LifeImage. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Business Management from Northeastern University.
“It’s an honor to join such a passionate and talented team,” said Jim. “I was drawn to Carta because of the incredible combination of clinicians and data scientists and the off-the-chart brilliance they bring to their mission of improving patients’ lives. These attributes are key drivers in the company’s current success. I look forward to achieving many more milestones as we continue to change how the industry leverages clinical data and artificial intelligence to improve patient care.”
