MIAMI & DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer's)—the world’s preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol—today announced that Soren Sorensen has been appointed to the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, effective immediately. In his new role, Mr. Sorensen will be responsible for driving commercial execution that meets the needs of Southern Glazer’s customers and suppliers in three states, and will continue to report directly to Scott Westerman, Executive Vice President and General Manager, North Central Sub-Region. Mr. Sorenson adds North Dakota and South Dakota to his current responsibility.

Mr. Sorensen brings nearly 18 years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry to his new role. He joined Southern Glazer's in 2010 as a Sales Brand Manager for the Outstate Region. Since then, Mr. Sorensen has held roles of increasing responsibility for Southern Glazer's, including Sales Director of Spirits and Vice President of Spirits, before obtaining his most recent role of Vice President, General Manager of Minnesota. Prior to joining Southern Glazer's, Mr. Sorensen had a productive career at Wirtz Beverage Group.
