BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On Nov. 17, 20-year Baltimore police officer veteran “Hank” was shot in the line of duty by a fugitive. Hank lost a kidney, has broken ribs, and suffered multiple other internal injuries. He is now in a critical, but stable condition, and was finally able to come off the ventilator this week.
Hank’s family and friends started a GoFundMe campaign with an initial goal of $50,000 to help ease the financial burdens to his family. Hank has 9 months to a year to full recovery ahead of him. He will likely need more surgery in future and it may realistically be about 9 months to a year of hard work to get back to his former self.

Hank is originally from Riva, MD. He loves both football, as a Baltimore Ravens fan, and baseball, and supports the Orioles. He loves motocross, growing up following Travis Pastrana. And he and his wife, Judy, have enjoyed visiting the Hawaiian Islands.
