Young Entrepreneur Overcomes Health Obstacles (Including COVID) to Accelerate Business Growth; Bare Life Featured on QVC, Amazon, Whole Foods

HARTFORD, Conn.--()--A rapidly growing entrepreneurial business is hitting significant milestones. Bare Life coconut hot cocoa mix is having a hot start to winter, with a first-ever appearance on QVC and now in Whole Foods throughout New England.

Popularity continues to accelerate, as Bare Life and its founder and CEO, Ali Lazowski, earn plaudits. Bare Life is made with only five organic ingredients; coconut milk, coconut sugar, cacao powder, ground vanilla beans, and kosher pink Himalayan salt.

Lazowski launched the company in 2017 after being diagnosed during her junior year of college with cancer and Lyme disease that caused her to re-evaluate her diet. She needed foods that were gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free - and actually tasted good. The original recipe was developed in her kitchen.

It is Organic, Kosher Pareve, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Paleo, Vegan, Plant Based, Non-GMO, Corn Free, Refined Sugar Free and Soy Free; without any preservatives or fillers.

This year, she battled COVID-19 for months, navigating health issues while growing her company. Lazowski debuted on QVC on Oct.28, highlighting an exclusively designed, environmentally-friendly, box of 20 packets to rapid sales and rave reviews.

Another milestone: Whole Foods Market is adding the Bare Life 10-pack of single servings to its shelves in 36 New England locations – in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Maine.

“My goal starting Bare Life was to create foods, like our Coconut Hot Cocoa mix, that worked for people living with allergies and sensitives and actually tasted great, so that having allergies would no longer mean missing out on delicious treats,” Lazowski said. “It’s humbling to receive recognition as we continue to reach more people - that means we’re achieving our mission!”

Statistics show:

  • 133 million Americans (40% of the population) live with chronic illness
  • 15 Million Americans have food allergies
  • 22% of the U.S. population have food sensitivities, highest in the world

Bare Life’s coconut hot cocoa mix is also on Amazon, achieving sales in nearly every state (c’mon West Virginia!). Ingredients are sourced from fair-trade friendly companies; sustainable businesses offering fair market or living wages. Bare Life features tasty, easy-to-prepare recipes for brownies, muffins, pancakes and French Toast, and also scored a cameo in a Lifetime move filmed in Connecticut.
