Ermetic Unveils Board of Advisors Featuring Top Executives from Atlassian, Google, Netflix and Publicis Groupe

Cloud Infrastructure Entitlements Management Provider Adds ‘A’ List of Technology Experts for Strategic Guidance

PALO ALTO, Calif. & TEL AVIV--()--Ermetic, the cloud access risk security company, today announced the formation of its Advisory Board which includes a who’s who of CISOs and cloud security experts from the technology, media and communications sectors. The new Board members will provide strategic business and technology advice for the company.

“We are extremely honored that this elite group of cyber and cloud security leaders have joined our board to provide their guidance and expertise,” said Shai Morag, CEO of Ermetic. “We are addressing one of the top cloud security challenges facing organizations today, so their years of both C-level and practitioner experience will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology planning and execution.”

The Ermetic Advisory Board Members are:

Elie AbenMoha - Chief IT Security Officer for Publicis Groupe, a global leader in advertising, media buying, data-driven marketing and digital business transformation. Elie leads the Global Security Office (GSO) protecting the organization against cyber threats, ensuring compliance to security regulations and managing a center of excellence supporting client and product delivery services.

“For organizations, cloud infrastructure is like the wild west… a land of extraordinary opportunities that remains vastly ungoverned and unsafe. Ermetic is the new sheriff in town that enables security teams to understand what is going on and bring order to the chaos of loosely implemented permission and configuration management.”

Gerhard Eschelbeck - Recently retired from Google, where he was Vice President Security and Privacy Engineering. Gerhard has a passion for championing new technologies as a trusted advisor and board member for early stage startups. He published the “Laws of Vulnerabilities”, is co-inventor of the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS), and holds numerous patents in the field of managed network security. Gerhard has also served as CTO for several global technology companies including Sophos and Qualys.

“Managing cloud entitlements and access is complicated by the sheer volume of machine identities. Without automation tools like Ermetic it is manually unfeasible for even the largest security teams.”

Adrian Ludwig - CISO for Atlassian, a multinational $40B enterprise software company. He has held senior cybersecurity management positions at Nest, Google, Adobe Systems, @Stake and the U.S. Department of Defense.

“Application development teams often over-privilege cloud identities because it’s faster and easier, which creates downstream security risks. Ermetic enables organizations and their developers to regain control over entitlement and access vulnerabilities.”

Travis McPeak - Security Engineering Manager for Netflix, has held senior cybersecurity management roles at IBM, HP, and Symantec. Travis has served as the developer lead for Repokid, an automated approach to least privilege, and Bandit, a linter to find Python security bugs. In his spare time, Travis leads the Bay Area OWASP Chapter and advises startups.

“Least privilege is one of the most impactful security postures, but it is also difficult to achieve at scale. Intelligent automation can bridge the gap to simultaneously enable security and developer velocity.”
