Wellframe’s Melissa Herman Named 2020 CFO of the Year by Boston Business Journal

Program honors the top professionals in local finance, highlighting Wellframe’s growth and financial milestones

BOSTON--()--Wellframe, the market leader in Digital Health Management solutions, today announced that the Boston Business Journal has recognized its chief financial officer, Melissa Herman, as a 2020 CFO of the Year in the Private Small Companies category. The annual awards honor Boston-area CFOs who make a difference in their companies, organizations and communities.

Herman joined the Wellframe team when the company had fewer than 30 employees and has played a critical role in driving 1,000 percent revenue growth and 300 percent team growth over the last four years. She has led the company through series B and C fundraising rounds and has helped build a culture that resulted in Wellframe being named one of the BBJ’s “Best Places to Work.”

Herman has been adept at guiding Wellframe’s business through the obstacles presented in 2020, including the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent economic impact.

Melissa is among the top leaders at Wellframe that I regularly hold up as the example to which I want all employees to aspire, both in terms of performance and embodiment of our values,” said Jacob Sattelmair, DSc, MSc, president, CEO and co-founder of Wellframe. “Beyond her exceptional stewardship of our financial planning and analysis, she has been able to tackle big challenges and ultimately turn them into strengths for the company—and then hire exceptional talent that gives us a continued advantage. Not only has this been incredibly valuable for Wellframe, but it has established her as a trusted partner in building this business, and solidified her reputation as a tenacious, resourceful leader.”
