GeneIQ Provides Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center with COVID-19 Testing

DALLAS--()--To help ensure a safe and healthy workplace, GeneIQ’s molecular diagnostic laboratory is partnering with Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) as part of the agency’s new protocols for managing the coronavirus pandemic.

Lynn M. Davis, DCAC President and Chief Executive Officer stated, “The GeneIQ methodology is preferred for a couple of reasons. First, it starts with a non-invasive nasal swab, which can be self-administered. Second, the fast turnaround of results will ensure that our staff are safe and healthy so that we can continue our job supporting the abused children of Dallas County.”

Given increasing reports of COVID-19 and the volume of people coming in and out of DCAC, Davis adds, “Each day our staff leave their families to respond to another family’s crisis. Making sure our staff are illness-free ensures we are ready and able to provide justice and restore hope for families recovering from the trauma of abuse. We are extremely appreciative of GeneIQ’s commitment and support of DCAC.”

GeneIQ provides real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) based testing for COVID-19. The Company’s CLIA certified high-complexity laboratory adheres to the highest standards in molecular testing, ensuring timely, actionable and accurate delivery of test results.

Frank G. Howard, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GeneIQ stated, “My wife Marisa and I have been longtime supporters of DCAC. It is a privilege to provide testing for their staff. Quick and accurate testing for COVID-19 is essential for protecting those served by the center and for allowing staff members to safely resume their duties.”
