EfficientIP Smart Automation Accelerates Cisco Network Deployments

DNS-DHCP-IPAM Linked to Cisco DNA Brings Unique Last-Mile Automation

Based on Business-specific Needs

PHILADELPHIA--()--EfficientIP, a global network security and automation solutions provider specializing in DDI (DNS-DHCP-IPAM), today announced that its SOLIDserver DDI solution has been released for Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA) and is now available on Cisco Marketplace. Unlike other DDI integrations, EfficientIP’s solution offers smart automation which allows IT teams to support business-specific needs through the unique adaptation of network provisioning based on operational requirements, types of business and the sectors in which companies operate.

EfficientIP’s SOLIDserver DDI solution enables true end-to-end automation of the IP network by adding to the process the “last mile”. This provides for automatic configuration of network endpoints, allowing them thereafter to connect to the network. Last-mile automation removes network bottlenecks, making it easier for devices to rapidly connect to the company network—the result makes it 80% faster to deploy a service.

In an era of zero-touch provisioning (ZTP), Cisco DNA brings valuable automation capability at the network and security level, allowing core and access networks to be built quickly. However, the IP layer is left behind, which causes delays before the devices themselves can actually connect to the network. Configuration of the endpoints often remains time-consuming and error-prone as Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) scopes are created manually. Keeping access network information and IP addresses accurate and up-to-date also poses a challenge.

SOLIDserver DDI adds value by accelerating the deployment of access networks based on business-specific needs while adhering to an enterprise’s policies. Additionally, it offers IT teams global visibility over IP devices connected to an enterprise’s network, with DHCP to provide addresses and DNS to link users and applications. This avoids breaking the workflow of network and service provisioning between the automated network part and the IP services and central repository of IP resources.

“We are excited to announce the release of SOLIDserver DDI for Cisco DNA. By complementing DNA with our offering, EfficientIP will help businesses meet key requirements of their digital transformation strategies across a wide variety of business needs enabling the rapid expansion of company networks to new locations or to employees working remotely,” said Jean-Yves Bisiaux, CTO at EfficientIP. “Through the error free and automated configuration of network endpoints, we contribute towards improved customer experiences, enhanced network consistency, and a faster time to market for Infrastructure and Operations teams.”
