DALLAS & HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--True Partners Consulting LLC (True Partners), a trusted tax and business advisory firm, announced today that Monty Tarbet, Senior Manager, has joined the firm’s State and Local Tax group. Monty will be based in the firm’s Dallas office.
Monty brings over 13 years of state and local transaction tax experience in both public and private companies. He has assisted Fortune 500 clients with audit defense and refund recoveries as well as maintained compliance while in the industry. He has also assisted with voluntary disclosure agreements as well as nexus studies.

Before joining True Partners Consulting, Monty was the Sales & Use Tax Process Team Lead for Becton, Dickinson and Company where he managed both compliance and audits for U.S. and Canadian transaction taxes. Prior to that, Monty was involved with Motor Fuels compliance at both the state and federal level for NuStar Energy, L.P.
Monty started his career with Ryan, LLC assisting clients with refund recoveries and audit defense in the manufacturing, mining, semiconductor, defense contractor, oil and gas, and software industries. Monty received his Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting degree from Texas Tech University. He is a Certified Member of the Institute of Professionals in Taxation.
