KANSAS CITY, Mo.--()--Tesseract Ventures, a Kansas City-based technology company helping organizations become smarter, better connected and more efficient through next-generation robotics, 21st century software and radically connected platforms, has been awarded as a startup to watch in 2020 by Startland News, the local nonprofit organization covering Kansas City's innovation community of startups, entrepreneurs, makers, creatives and risk-takers.

“This recognition is a direct reflection of the radical work our team of talented individuals is doing at Tesseract,” said John Boucard, founder and CEO, Tesseract Ventures. “We are thrilled to have been recognized alongside other Kansas City innovators, and plan to continue to develop and grow the company with the best minds in the industry.”

After more than 50 hours of research, including input from investors and recommendations from the local community, Tesseract was selected from a list of more than 250 nominations and leads.

A celebration honoring the startups to watch took place on Jan. 30. During the event, Terry Dunn, former president and CEO of JE Dunn Construction, presented the award to Tesseract.

“As a proud investor of Tesseract, it was my honor to present this award to such a worthy company,” said Dunn. “Great things are on the horizon from Tesseract, and I am excited to be part of it.”

Tesseract is bringing Silicon Valley-level innovation to the Midwest and has been backed solely by Kansas City industry titans to help build the future. With an emphasis on fostering innovation, the company is developing a revolutionary system that will allow businesses to connect ultra-high-speed processing backends to intuitively reveal, organize and display vast amounts of information. Tesseract’s focus areas are broken up into four studios – advanced research and development, advanced robotics, consumer goods and experiential entertainment.
