Cohen has joined the Company as President and Chief Innovation Officer, effectively immediately. Mr. Cohen brings nearly 40 years of direct, relevant experience to the job, enabling him to offer fresh, informed and creative insights as a leader.
In this role, Mr. Cohen is focused on enhancing Stronghill’s value proposition and growing its origination platform. This includes the implementation of innovative new processes, strategies and policies aimed at driving technological and loan ecosystem efficiencies, empowering associates, fueling product innovation and attracting top talent. In addition to benefiting borrowers, these changes serve to create a more powerful and reliable offering for Stronghill’s Channel Partners and Capital Partners. These partners rely on the Company to achieve their desired outcomes.

Before joining Stronghill, Mr. Cohen served as Managing Partner at 3650 REIT, a nationwide commercial real estate lender originating and servicing portfolio loans, and will remain an advisor to the company as Vice Chairman. He will also continue to lead private investment firm Darkknight Ventures, which provides intellectual and economic capital to help entrepreneurs optimize their business journeys. Prior to that, Mr. Cohen was CEO of Cohen Financial, a national real estate capital services company, which he recapitalized six times between 1998 and 2013. He sits on the board of several leading finance and technology organizations including CRESimple, Hillcrest Capital Partners, Ascot, B&E Net Lease, Forum Real Estate Group and Academic Approach. Mr. Cohen has also held several professional affiliations including Association President of Chartered Realty Investor and Commercial Real Estate Finance Council, The Commercial Real Estate Finance/Multifamily Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association and at one time sat on the big board at Mortgage Bankers Association.
