KANSAS CITY, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Meritex has broken ground on two new, 120,000-square-foot, industrial buildings in the Kansas City market. The new buildings will each feature a clear height of 28’ and eco-friendly, insulated wall panels. The development will also include a shared truck court. This will be Meritex’ first surface development in the Kansas City market. The company currently owns and operates Meritex Lenexa Executive Park, an underground industrial park which has more than 2.7 million square feet of developed space.
The building site is located at 9800 Britton St. in Lenexa, Kansas, less than a mile from the K-10 and I-435 highways. It is also east of the City of Lenexa’s Ridgeview Road Construction Project, which is expected to open in late 2019.

Ground was broken on the new development on September 28 and work will continue on the site throughout the fall of 2019. Vertical construction will begin in spring 2020, and project is expected to be complete by December 2020.
Merit General Contractors Inc. will serve as the contractor and Colliers will be the listing broker.
