MONTPELIER, Vt.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Through a competitive bid process, the state of Vermont has selected NIC’s Vermont Information Consortium (VIC) as its state digital government services provider. The new enterprise services contract is for three years with one three-year renewal option, continuing VIC’s commitment to providing efficient and convenient digital government services to citizens and businesses across the state.
Since 2006, VIC has been a trusted partner of the state of Vermont, working with state agencies and localities to deliver services geared specifically toward helping residents easily interact with government. VIC provides services at no cost to the state through a transaction-based model. The partnership includes 54 state government agencies and the newly redesigned, industry-leading government website, Vermont.gov—a gold award winner in the 2019 dotCOMM Awards and an overall state finalist in the 2019 Government Experience Awards.

NIC’s payment processing platform (TPE) highlights the Vermont Information Consortium’s suite of digital services available to the state of Vermont and can be found on common check out pages and implemented over the counter throughout the state. In 2018, the TPE processed more than $60 million for the state of Vermont.

VIC was awarded three 2019 Hermes Gold Awards in the government category for the online redesigns of Vermont’s Agency of Natural Resources, Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation and Department of Fish and Wildlife, highlighting the state of Vermont’s evolving online presence to modernize government and reduce costs for citizens, families and businesses.
