Japan's Friendship Ties Programs JENESYS 2019 ASEAN Inbound Program 6th Batch

Theme: Continuous Motivation of Japanese Language Learning, and Community Planning Aiming for the Prevention/the Reduction of Disaster

TOKYO--()--Twenty one Philippines High school students and their supervisor, who are interested in Japanese Language and Culture, are scheduled to visit Japan from October 23rd to 31st as part of the Japan’s Friendship Ties Programs “JENESYS 2019” promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
Under the theme of “Continuous Motivation of Japanese Language Learning, and Community Planning Aiming for the Prevention/the Reduction of Disaster”, in Tokyo, through the experience of learning type-printing and contents industry, they’ll be to have deepen understanding to various expression techniques of Japan. In Iwate, they will learn the experience of the reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake, and its city planning from zero basis. Furthermore, in Miyagi, they will be able to deepen their understanding to Japanese language through the experience of homestay and the exchange with Japanese people.
The program aims to promote human exchange and to deepen friendships between Japan and Philippines.
We hope that participants in this program will proactively share the appeals of Japan and other information after returning to Philippines and it ties the relationships between Japan and Philippines.

People with the ability and future mission to deliver messages between Japan and the countries and regions of Asia and Oceania are invited and dispatched in order to promote an understanding of Japan with regard to politics, economics, society, culture, history, foreign policy, and the like, and pro-Japanese people and experts on Japan are discovered in order to strengthen Japan’s message to other countries and expand Japan’s diplomatic foundation by having the guests and dispatches take the initiative to spread information about the diplomatic stance, appeals, and other facets of Japan.
