BioTalent Canada Releases Fifth Annual National Compensation Guide for Canada’s Bio-economy

OTTAWA, Ontario--()--BioTalent Canada marked this year’s Global Biotech Week with the announcement of the release of their fifth annual National Compensation Guide for Canada’s bio-economy.

A leader in labour market reporting for the Canadian bio-economy, BioTalent Canada’s National Compensation Guide helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) alleviate the pressures of attracting and retaining talent in a competitive industry by providing a national benchmark for them to build upon.

“In an increasingly competitive sector, biotech companies need to find ways to showcase themselves as employers of choice,” says Rob Henderson, President and CEO of BioTalent Canada. “By providing employers access to timely and pertinent compensation data – among other resources available through BioTalent Canada, biotech companies have the tools and information needed to attract and retain top talent.”

Among others, key organizations that support the initiative as partners include:

  • Bioscience Association Manitoba
  • BioNova
  • Life Sciences Ontario
  • BioAlberta

Through their new National Occupational Standards project, which will create and validate over 50 new National Occupational Standards for Canada’s bio-economy, BioTalent Canada will continue to improve and expand on compensation and skills profiles available to biotech employers.

“More and more, biotech companies are realizing that the key to their success depends on finding skilled and talented people to drive their innovation,” says Henderson. “BioTalent Canada will continue to work with the industry and their stakeholders to provide employers with products and services to help them grow.”
