The Greeley Company’s Interim Staffing Division Experiencing Unprecedented Growth

Company Expands Resources to Support Increased Demand and Expanded Interim Chief Medical Officer Service Offerings

DANVERS, Mass.--()--The Greeley Company, a leader in healthcare consulting, education, external peer review and interim staffing solutions, announced today that it had experienced an unprecedented compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 50% from 2014 to 2018, in its interim staffing services. The growth is due in large part to the increased demand for qualified Chief Medical Officer (CMO) talent and the company’s expanded investment in resources and strategic leadership. In 2018, Greeley appointed Lauren Belliveau to Vice President of Interim Staffing and Education to oversee the division and its growth strategies. Greeley Interim CMOs help hospitals streamline operational and strategic needs by bridging leadership gaps to improve efficiency, practitioner engagement and alignment, and high-quality, cost-effective patient care.

“Based on Greeley’s experience training over 11,000 physician leaders and 30+ years of partnering with hospitals to solve their biggest challenges, we are uniquely positioned to provide hospitals and health systems with pre-screened, highly qualified CMOs who are well-equipped to rise up to meet a hospital’s unique needs,” says Belliveau. “There isn’t another company that better understands the challenges that a CMO faces on a daily basis than Greeley. A successful outcome for hospitals is our top priority, that is the ‘Greeley way.’”

Maintaining a culture at a healthcare organization focused on improving patient care can be a challenge in an era of high CMO turnover, with 47% of CMOs spending just one or two years at an organization. When a hospital is faced with a physician executive vacancy, rushing to hire can lead to selecting the wrong candidate for one of the hospital’s most critical roles. This can end up costing thousands of dollars, and time without a CMO could jeopardize quality and safety. While a hospital searches for a long-term CMO replacement, interim CMOs can temporarily fill the vacancy and allow the organization to stay on track by guiding medical staff, leading clinical innovation, and overseeing important initiatives.

“We have been providing effective interim staffing solutions to hospitals of all sizes across the country for over 20 years, and we are now seeing an increased need for Interim CMO talent in the market,” said Steve Bryant, CEO of Greeley. “The high rate of CMO turnover combined with the hospitals’ need for support on strategic initiatives such as merger and acquisition integration, advancing evidence-based medicine, quality and safety initiatives, utilization and risk management, as well as facilitating effective physician leadership has made it necessary for us to expand resources and our offerings. Under the leadership of our Vice President of Interim Staffing and Education, Lauren Belliveau, we are poised to take our current services to the next level and grow our solutions even further by Q4 2019.”
