TransformativeMed Recruits Chief Growth Officer and Adds Former Health System CEO to Its Board of Directors

SEATTLE--()--TransformativeMed, the leader in empowering clinical communication and collaboration with EHR-embedded workflows, announced today that health industry veteran Greg Miller has joined the company as Chief Growth Officer, and former health system CEO John Koster, MD, has joined the Board of Directors.

These appointments follow a $6 million dollar raise in May and reflect the depth of health system experience TransformativeMed is securing to guide the company’s market expansion. CEO Doug Cusick stated, “EHRs are a critical automation tool, but the disruptive friction they add to the care process, and to the lives of clinicians is unacceptable and is a well-documented cause of physician burnout. Greg Miller and Dr. Koster deeply understand these problems and represent the talent, insights, and skills we are adding to ensure that the Core Workflow Suite continues to dramatically improve usability and ultimately return the joy back to delivering patient care.”

As TransformativeMed Chief Growth Officer, health industry veteran Greg Miller brings a growth-oriented mindset to this role. Greg stated, “TransformativeMed is solving an industry problem that has been ignored for too long. We believe that happy, efficient and productive clinicians deliver better patient care. TransformativeMed workflow solutions remove frustrating EHR friction and I’m excited to be part of a team that is making a critical difference in the lives of clinicians and empowering them to deliver better and safer patient care.”

Most recently Greg served as Senior Vice President, Strategy and International Market Development for Health Catalyst. Over his more than 30-year career, Greg has worked across the spectrum of product development, product management, consulting, sales, marketing, and strategy. After beginning his career on the front-line of healthcare delivery at Tufts New England Medical Center (NEMC), Greg has served in executive-level leadership positions, helping companies such as Transition Systems (TSI), Healthlink, IBM, Picis, and Medicity become industry innovators and leaders.

TransformativeMed also welcomes John Koster, internist and emergency medicine physician to its Board of Directors. Most recently Dr. Koster served as president and CEO of Providence Health & Services, one of the largest health systems in the U.S. An author, consultant and much-sought trusted advisor, Dr. Koster also serves on the board of Banner Health and is an executive in residence for the Health Management Academy. Among other accolades, Dr. Koster has frequently been included in Modern Healthcare magazine’s annual list of Most Influential Physician Executives.

About TransformativeMed

Founded in 2011 privately held TransformativeMed is the first to re-engineer Electronic Health Record (EHR) workflows with directly embedded, clinician-friendly solutions. The CORE Value Suite curates EHR-based patient information and presents it in the unique way each specialty requires. CORES is bi-directionally integrated with smartphones to ensure clinicians can enter and receive critical alerts, notifications, and messages while they work. This transforms how the EHR is used. Workflows are streamlined, team communication and collaboration are accelerated, and the frustrations of mining the EHR for critical information is removed. Tens of thousands of clinicians across more than 130 hospitals are using CORES to enhance EHR value, including Dignity Health, Baptist Health, and Medstar and others.
