PUEBLA, Mexico--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Making Lives Better with Alorica (MLBA), a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of people in need around the world, today announced its expansion in Mexico. The organization has added two new chapters in the country – Mexico City and Puebla – joining the existing Palenque and Hacienda Chapters. As Alorica continues to focus on Mexico as part of its growth strategy, simultaneously, MLBA’s “Mex-pansion” will positively impact local causes, individuals and over 3,000 Alorica employees and their families across Guadalajara, Mexico City and Puebla.

Each MLBA chapter is led by a board made up of Alorica team members. Chapters rally employees to fundraise, organize volunteer activities and help decide where to allocate funds within the community (i.e. individuals and other non-profit organizations). MLBA launched in Mexico in April 2017, and has since partnered with a variety of local charities including: Las Doce Piedritas, Sueños y Esperanza, Ministerios de Amor and Casa Hogar Maria Teresa, AC.
Since its inception in October 2015, employee-led MLBA chapters have raised over $4 million dollars through Alorica payroll contributions and fundraisers. Of the funds collected, more than 7,000 grants have been awarded – totaling in excess of $3.3 million. In addition, when local areas are hit hard by natural disasters or other crises, MLBA assists impacted employees, families and communities through its Disaster Relief Fund.
