NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--Southern Land Company, a national real estate developer of mixed-use developments and master planned communities, today announces the hiring of David Bracht as President of Homebuilding and Acquisitions.

Bracht has been appointed to take on a strategically important role for the company as it seeks to take best practices from its award winning Westhaven community in Franklin, Tenn. to plan and execute new master planned communities across the United States.

“We are very pleased to welcome an industry leading professional of David’s caliber to lead Southern Land’s homebuilding future,” said Tim Downey, Chief Executive Officer of Southern Land. “David already knows Nashville and Denver, two of our largest markets, exceptionally well. Bracht is a 28-year veteran of the homebuilding industry with 20 years in the Denver market and the remaining 8 years in Michigan, Phoenix, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and Philadelphia. Before joining Southern Land, he was the Denver Division President and Land Company President for Oakwood Homes overseeing all land acquisition, entitlement and development activities for the entire company as well as all aspects of the Denver Divisions operations including sales, construction, purchasing, finance and warranty, having full P&L responsibility.
