Tower MSA Partners’ New Webinar Examines Metrics and MSA Provider Relationship

Webinar starts at 2 p.m. ET on April 24

DELRAY BEACH, Fla.--()--Workers’ compensation payers use metrics for predictive modeling, to identify opioid overuse, and measure the effectiveness of all kinds of programs. However, few understand how to measure the performance of their Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) and Medicare Set-Asides (MSA) programs and use this information to reverse engineer improvements in claims management.

Tower MSA Partners’ President Rita Wilson and Chief Compliance Officer Daniel Anders will discuss this and other ways to optimize MSAs in an hour-long webinar “Leveraging Metrics and MSA Partner Relationship to Settle Claims” on Wednesday, April 24, at 2 p.m. ET.

Part of Tower’s quarterly Premier Webinar series, the educational session focuses on the need to measure the performance of an MSA program and identifies the key metrics needed.

“When you ask a payer the percentage of their CMS-approved MSAs that contain prescription drugs, and in particular, those that contain opioids, most can’t tell you,” said Wilson. “As major drivers of settlement cost, it is critical to measure these as key performance indicators in order to improve future outcomes.”

The webinar also shares ways to build a better relationship with the MSA provider to reduce allocations and improve the program performance.

“MSA drafting and review factors can impact a settlement program’s performance,” Anders said. “We’ll discuss these and offer simple strategies for how to work more effectively with your MSP company.”
