Christopher McCavitt and Max Cawdron Join Nardello & Co. as Managing Directors

NEW YORK--()--Nardello & Co. LLC, a leading global investigations firm, today announced that Christopher McCavitt and Max Cawdron have joined the firm as Managing Directors and Heads of the New York and London offices, respectively. In these newly created roles, Mr. McCavitt and Mr. Cawdron will oversee all investigations in their respective regions, collaborate on other national and multi-national projects and work as part of the Nardello team to further grow the firm and its capabilities.

Mr. McCavitt was previously a Managing Director at global risk consulting firm Exiger, and Mr. Cawdron was previously a Managing Director at K2 Intelligence.

Mr. McCavitt has over 20 years of investigative experience across five continents, with special expertise in asset tracing, business intelligence and litigation support. He has a proven track record of working successfully in high-risk emerging markets and applying innovative technologies to the investigative process.

Mr. Cawdron has extensive experience advising corporate and private clients on intelligence and investigative matters. He has provided consulting services in relation to M&A transactions, commercial disputes and litigation, asset searches, and regulatory interventions by anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and competition authorities.

Biographies

Christopher McCavitt

Mr. McCavitt joins Nardello & Co. from global risk consulting firm Exiger, where he managed numerous complex investigations for law firms and corporate clients and was responsible for driving innovation by leading initiatives involving the company's technology and government services divisions. Previously, Mr. McCavitt served in various capacities at Kroll Associates for over nine years, where he managed due diligence relationships and led complex investigations, including a large high-profile Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) probe in Brazil. During his time at Kroll, he also led a strategic team that partnered with an insurance underwriter to develop an innovative cyber-insurance assessment methodology, which was later successfully deployed by a U.S. State. As North American Director of Research, Mr. McCavitt was responsible for was responsible for building a business intelligence platform and incorporating cutting-edge technologies into Kroll’s due diligence research. Earlier in his career, Mr. McCavitt founded, developed and managed Alpha Group International, an international investigative and security consulting firm. The company specialized in assisting US multinational corporations in managing risks and threats in emerging markets.

Mr. McCavitt holds a B.A. from Loyola University, an M.A. from University of Texas at Austin and an M. Philosophy from the University of Cambridge (with distinction).

Max Cawdron

Prior to joining Nardello & Co., Mr. Cawdron served as Managing Director at K2 Intelligence in Madrid and then London from 2010 to 2018. While in London, he was responsible for business development and management of cases in Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, including an anti-corruption investigation for a European energy company, an investigation into two foreign nationals in the UK accused of defrauding an overseas state-owned financial institution, and litigation support for a US distressed debt fund. Mr. Cawdron previously served as Head of Business Intelligence & Investigations at Kroll Associates in Iberia, where he helped grow the business and led due diligence and investigations.

Mr. Cawdron holds a B.A. from University of Bristol.
