Agari Leads Federal Adoption of DMARC & BOD 18-01 Compliance;

Fifteen Percent of Federal Executive Domains Remain Without DMARC Adoption

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--()--Agari, the next-generation Secure Email Cloud that restores trust to the inbox, announced today that Agari Brand Protection™ is now “In Process” on the FedRAMP marketplace, a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. As of February 18, 2019, Agari already protects the majority of all executive branch federal domains that use a DMARC service to achieve BOD 18-01 compliance.

“Cybersecurity is vital to maintaining our national security--it is a responsibility that Agari shares with the federal government,” said Pat Peterson, Founder and CEO of Agari. “Agari is on a mission to protect digital communication to ensure humanity prevails over evil, and nowhere is that mission more critical than ensuring U.S. citizens can trust the email they receive from their government.”

As of October 16th, 2018, the Department of Homeland Security Binding Operational Direction (BOD) 18-01 requires all executive branch federal government domains to implement Domain Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) email authentication with a policy that blocks phishing attacks that impersonate their agency. Agari Brand Protection leads Federal Government Agencies to BOD 18-01 compliance and is protecting more domains than all other DMARC solutions combined, including the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Census Bureau, and the United States Postal Service.

Agari Brand Protection stops phishing attacks by automating DMARC email authentication to protect government domains from being used in email scams. Unlike simple DMARC reporting tools, Agari Brand Protection provides a complete solution to stop direct spoofing of domains, detect the use of look-alike domains and automatically send look-alike domain information to takedown services.

“DMARC has proven incredibly effective at combating phishing across billions of emails daily, and BOD 18-01 has been a highly successful initiative, driving federal adoption of DMARC to protect the emails they send,” said Peterson. “As our federal customers have led the adoption of BOD 18-01, Agari is the leading provider for federal DMARC solutions, replete with the expertise from having done so.”
