CULLMAN, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Peoples Bank of Alabama is pleased to announce its continued expansion in Jefferson County with the grand opening of its Plaza location on the financial corner of Birmingham’s Central Business District.
The ribbon cutting ceremony today marks the official opening of its newest, full-service banking office at 417 20th Street North · Suite 100, Birmingham, Alabama 35203. Hosted by the Birmingham Business Alliance, event attendees include the Mayor, the Birmingham Office of Economic Development, Birmingham City Council, Jefferson County Commissioners, REV Birmingham, key business leaders and members of the bank’s board of directors and executive management team.

Peoples’ expansion includes nearly 6,700 square feet on the ground and 8th floors of The Plaza. The branch, with direct access from 5th Avenue North, is approximately 2,700 square feet and is equipped as a full-service retail bank, with two interactive teller machines (ITM), two universal bankers, and a fully-integrated commercial banking team. Barnett noted that “the design is unique when it comes to a cross-functional banking environment. It focuses on collaboration, teamwork and efficiency. The build-out is a modified, open environment with individual offices and designed collaboration areas. Our associates are equipped with the latest in technology so they can best serve our clients.” The 8th floor suite includes nearly 3,900 square feet and houses the relocated Credit and Government Guaranteed Lending teams. The Bank’s Jefferson County team will continue to operate its full-service locations in International Park (Hoover), Warrior, and Gardendale.
