LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TV/radio personality Maria Menounos and digital health company Rally HealthSM are teaming up with Westside German Shepherd Rescue to host a dog walk Sunday, Dec. 16, in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park to promote healthy living and the benefits of pet ownership. The 1.5-mile walk will be led by Menounos and her dog Maximus to highlight their own Westside German Shepherd Rescue story. Participants are welcome to attend the free event with or without a dog.
The walk will start at 9:30 a.m. at the Fern Dell Trailhead in Griffith Park where Menounos, a Rally Health Ambassador, will address the group about the fitness benefits of walking every day, especially with a dog. She will also talk about the emotional benefits of pet ownership and share the story of how her dogs helped her during her own health challenge in 2017.
“Until you experience it for yourself, it’s hard to imagine just how much a pet can help bolster your physical and emotional well-being. It is such a gift to be able share with others the story of my health journey and how my dogs help me every day,” said Menounos.
Attendees and their dogs will enjoy treats and a fun photo booth, and have the opportunity to support pet adoption through the Westside German Shepherd Rescue, a no-kill animal rescue nonprofit in Los Angeles dedicated to finding permanent and loving homes for German Shepherds and other dogs.
