Campaign Monitor Grows U.S. Self-Serve Business by 70 Percent

Tech company focused on brand refresh, revamped product offerings and recruiting top talent in 2018

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--A year after the merger which brought together Campaign Monitor, Emma and Delivra — creating a suite of email marketing solutions for businesses of any size — Campaign Monitor’s self-serve U.S. business has grown 70 percent, adding well-known businesses like Zagat. Alongside this growth, Campaign Monitor has recruited notable talent and undergone a complete rebrand of two platforms.

“The marketing landscape is constantly evolving, which means companies are looking to the Campaign Monitor family of brands to stay apprised of the latest email marketing techniques,” said Wellford Dillard, CEO of Campaign Monitor. “Our 2018 Email Marketing Industry Report showed 25 percent of marketers planned on significantly increasing spend on email and we believe this percentage will continue to rise in 2019, as marketers rely on email to deliver the highest ROI of any digital channel.”

The company’s 70 percent growth of the self-serve U.S. business has been a direct result of renewed focus on client needs, industry gaps and product solutions. As a result, Campaign Monitor has revamped its brand identity to differentiate the company and platforms from the sea of martech competition. The brand refresh includes updated websites for each platform which are more intuitive and responsive to customer needs and provide clear differentiation for each product offering.

“We have spent the past year focusing on integrating the businesses and focusing on differentiating each of our platforms to solve industry specific issues. This new focus has allowed us to better serve our customers in a variety of verticals. Emma HQ is a great example. This innovative new email marketing platform at Emma solves many of the unique problems faced by franchises and multi-location businesses who need to manage mailings for a few dozen to thousands of locations or departments and ensure cohesive branding in all emails,” continued Dillard.

In the second half of 2018, Campaign Monitor added a number of seasoned executives to help drive strategy, accelerate growth and further increase the company’s focus on its employees. Some of these team members include:

  • HR and talent management expert Sharon Strauss, as Chief People Officer, previously at GellWellNetwork, as well as Tiffany & Co., CitiGroup and Dunkin’ Brands
  • B2B marketing expert Shane Phair, as Chief Marketing Officer, formerly at Cleo
  • Consumer brand strategist Akerho Oghoghomeh as Vice President of Brand Strategy and Communications, coming from RedBull
