MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DTN/The Progressive Farmer is proud to announce that United States Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will headline its annual Ag Summit held December 3-5, 2018, in Chicago. Secretary Perdue will provide a keynote address, “Global Trade and Political Issues that will Shape the 2019 Season,” to kick-off the event on December 3.
Secretary Perdue is a former farmer, agribusinessman, veterinarian, state legislator, and governor of Georgia. He was sworn into office as the 31st United States Secretary of Agriculture in 2017. His address will shed light on what global trade and the current economic outlook means for the country’s agricultural producers.

She will discuss how changing protein demands in Asia and globally may impact United States meat, dairy, oilseeds and grains exports in 2019 and beyond.
