SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is proud to launch its newest mobile application, Golden 1 Card Controls. The app gives members the ability to instantly suspend their debit or credit card if it is misplaced or lost. If found, members can unfreeze their card and return to using it at their convenience.
In addition to suspending their cards, members can also set up transaction limits and block international, ATM, or online transactions using the Card Controls app. Fingerprint and face authentication make the app easy to access.
Golden 1 also announced two-way fraud alerts to notify members about potentially fraudulent transactions on their debit cards via free text messages. Members can then simply reply via text message to confirm or deny the transaction. If the transaction is legitimate, payment processing will continue as normal. If the member responds that it is fraudulent, Golden 1 will block the transaction.
