PCCA Partners with Nicos Group to Provide Member Pharmacies with Access to State-of-the-Art Clean Rooms

HOUSTON--()--PCCA is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Nicos Group that will provide PCCA’s network of compounding pharmacies with access to the most unique and advanced clean room systems available in the market. To ensure compounding pharmacies can compound the highest-quality medications for patients, PCCA partners with only the most qualified vendors in the industry.

“PCCA and Nicos Group share a common philosophy of constant innovation and high attention to customer satisfaction,” said PCCA Vice President of Sales and Marketing Menia Costopoulos. “From delivering detailed drawings and controlled, validated design to keeping production and installation times on schedule, Nicos Group’s highest-quality processes ensure the success of their clean room projects. They are a dynamic, flexible organization that pays the utmost attention to customer requirements, and we are pleased to be affiliated with them.”

Clean rooms are enclosed spaces in which airborne particulates are kept within strict limits, and they are required for the preparation of certain customized medications under USP <797> and USP <800> guidelines set forth by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). The use of well-designed clean rooms allows for the preparation of sterile medications, which may be suitable for injection or ophthalmic use, and can also protect laboratory personnel.

Since 1985, Nicos Group has been a global leader in modular clean rooms for pharmaceutical finished products and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), as well as the food, dairy, biotechnology and electronics industries. An ISO 9001-certified provider, Nicos Group offers complete project management, including design, construction, support and factory-trained installation led by professional engineers, to deliver confidence and peace of mind to their clients.

“We are proud to partner with PCCA to provide clean room systems to their network of compounding pharmacies,” said Francesco Nigris, President and CEO of Nicos Group. “We have received an exceptional response from users of our first PCCA customer installations, and we are honored to be a PCCA preferred vendor.”
