BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Osmosis, a leading medical & health education platform, has partnered with the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) and VisualDx to educate current and future clinicians on shared decision making and improving diagnoses as part of its initiative to address topics that are not included in a typical classroom setting.

A video on Shared Decision Making is debuting at the annual CMSS meeting on November 16th in Arlington, VA. Shared Decision Making is an approach of patient-centered care that formally enables clinicians to understand the preferences of their patients, inform their choices and ultimately decide together on the next steps.

An important part of Shared Decision Making is making the correct diagnosis in the first place. Osmosis worked with VisualDx, a leading clinical decision support tool, to develop a video focused on common cognitive mistakes that lead to Diagnostic Errors such as representative bias and premature closure.
