BELZONI, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Guaranty Bank & Trust and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) will award $16,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to Mississippi Community Financial Access Coalition (MCFAC) for organizational capacity building, hiring grant writing consultants and market research studies.
Local dignitaries and bank representatives will attend a check presentation at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2018, at Guaranty Bank & Trust’s offices at 217 Church Street in Belzoni, Mississippi. The media is encouraged to attend.
MCFAC provides financial boot camps for individuals and families in northeast Mississippi and the Mississippi Delta. The programs are designed to help increase wealth through education, training, debt reduction, increased savings and access to low-cost banking products and services.
The structure of the PGP enables FHLB Dallas member institutions like Guaranty Bank & Trust to make a contribution of $500 to $4,000 to a community-based organization (CBO), which FHLB Dallas will match at a 3:1 ratio.
