RoundGlass Rise Selected as the Technology Partner of Choice by Community Foundation of South Puget Sound Give Local Campaign

Give Local Campaign Supports Local Non-Profits to Foster Social Equity in Communities

BELLEVUE, Wash.--()--RoundGlass Inc., a global well-being company, announced for the second consecutive year Community Foundation of South Puget Sound has chosen RoundGlass Rise as its technology partner for Give Local.

Give Local is an important initiative created to amplify local giving, highlight the great work of local nonprofits, and help them serve vital community needs in Washington state’s Thurston, Mason, and Lewis counties. This year’s Give Local features over 75 organizations. From October 31 through November 20, donors are encouraged to “give where you live” by making an online donation to one or more local nonprofits via the online giving platform.

Rise Fundraiser’s SaaS solution is seamlessly branded and integrated into the foundation’s main website. Built-in communication and analytical tools help the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound manage and keep nonprofits as well as donors engaged and updated. The sophisticated peer-to-peer feature allows quick customization of campaign pages. Easy social share capabilities and features like “Embed Campaign” further help grow awareness for a campaign through multi-channel social media campaigns. With no penalties and no platform fee, 100 percent of funds raised through each campaign goes straight to the nonprofits.

“We are so proud of our Give Local campaign and the success we achieved in 2017. We believe that giving locally to help your neighbors and community thrive is tremendously important,” said Mindie Reule, philanthropic services & programs director of Community Foundation of South Puget Sound. “It was critical for us to run the campaign online and make it easy for both non-profits to participate and for donors to contribute. That’s why we chose Rise Fundraiser as our technology partner. Onboarding, coordinating and communicating with multiple nonprofits to launch and manage multiple campaigns would have been impossible without the Rise solution.”

In 2017, the year it launched, Give Local raised $162,560. $122,530 of the contributions were from individual donors with a generous donation of $40,000 from the Dawkins Charitable Trust. This year, with 30 percent more nonprofits participating, and increased incentive fund of $100,000, Give Local officials estimate they will double the funds raised and distributed to 75 nonprofits during the three-week campaign.

“In our post-event surveys last year, we heard overwhelmingly, that donors and nonprofits loved the opportunity to participate in Give Local and be part of a community-wide movement to foster giving in our local communities,” said Norma Schuiteman, president and CEO of the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound.
